HISTORY

Audio Video Design, Inc. was incorporated in 1994 to provide a cost-effective alternative to high-priced teleprompter hardware and software products.

AVD is the only professional teleprompter hardware and software manufacturer that was started up in the great State of Florida, originally in West Palm Beach, now located in Melbourne, on Florida's high-tech Space Coast.

Our first products were based on the Amiga computer platform, which were replaced by DOS and Windows OS computers, starting in 1995. AVD made its first NAB appearance that same year, and showed the first Windows 3.1-based teleprompter software in the world.

Other milestones in AVD's history:

In 2004 we introduced our dual-screen Win2k/XP prompter software technology, which mirrors a Win2K/XP notebook computer's VGA output but leaves the operator's monitor unmirrored and heads-up, allowing the use of off-the-shelf LCD monitors with no onboard mirroring in teleprompter systems. We also introduced our EasyReaderNR™ NewsRoom software with story editing and run-order management while scrolling with no glitches or jitters in the scrolling script.

Audio Video Design, Inc. is owned and operated by Americans, unlike some of our larger competitors, who are owned and operated by foreign interests. We support American manufacturing and are proud to affix the "Made in U.S.A." tag to our American-built products.

Always look to AVD for the most innovative and brightest ideas in the teleprompter industry, with exciting new applications continually under development, including the new CA flatscreen series, and our own EasyReaderPRO™, EasyReaderNR™ NewsRoom, and EasyReaderSHOWPRO™ Win2K/XP dual-screen teleprompter software.
